SSG Capital Advisors is pleased to announce that Neil Gupta has been named to the American Bankruptcy Institute’s 2021 40 Under 40 Emerging Leaders in Insolvency Practice. This prestigious recognition is bestowed on insolvency professionals who have set the standard for excellence in the field.  Neil will be honored during the American Bankruptcy Institute’s 2021 Winter Leadership Conference on December 10.

Honorees under the age of 40 were chosen from large and small firms from every country region and represent diverse practice areas such as law, finance, consulting, academia, government, and more. More than 200 candidates, each with outstanding professional achievement and community leadership records, were evaluated by 20 judges.

Neil has taken on leadership roles at SSG and industry and community organizations. Since 2011, he has led or participated in deal teams for more than 90 special situations investment banking transactions. Neil is President of the TMA Philadelphia/Wilmington Chapter and proudly serves as the first president of color in the Chapter’s history. He is an active member of ABI (Financial Advisors and Investment Banking Committee), Association for Corporate Growth, Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors, and the Global Turnaround Management Association. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project and has been its Treasurer since 2019.
