Situation

SSG was retained by Gibbs’ Parent company, Koch Enterprises, Inc. (“KEI”), to serve as investment banker in the exploration of strategic alternatives, including a potential sale of Gibbs.

Solution

SSG conducted a comprehensive marketing process that attracted interest from multiple parties who engaged in a thorough review of the business. Architect Equity was selected as the best financial and strategic partner for the business and purchased 100% of KEI’s equity ownership interests in Gibbs. SSG’s experience in the automotive and manufacturing industries resulted in a transaction that maximized value for KEI and positioned Gibbs for continued success under new ownership.
